1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethyl quinoline, polymer
Description
1,2-Dihydro-2,2,4-trimethyl quinoline, polymer (CAS 26780-96-1 ), commonly known as TMQ, is a polymerized quinoline antioxidant used to protect rubber compounds from oxidative and thermal degradation. It extends service life in both natural and synthetic rubber systems by inhibiting aging caused by heat, oxygen, and flex fatigue. This chemical is a primary antioxidant in tire manufacturing processes. It protects carcass compounds, sidewalls, and tread formulations during both vulcanization and long-term service. In industrial rubber goods, it prevents hardening and cracking under elevated temperature conditions. Common applications include belts, hoses, and seals. Automotive rubber components such as engine mounts and vibration dampeners rely on TMQ to maintain mechanical integrity across wide temperature ranges. It is also incorporated into plastic and polymer blends where long-term thermal stability is a processing or end-product requirement. TMQ is supplied as a dark brown to amber flake or granule. Flake is the most common commercial form for rubber compounding. Standard grades include technical-grade material meeting typical rubber industry specifications for antioxidant content and softening point. Bulk and bagged packaging options are available to suit both large-scale compounders and specialty formulators. This ensures the material remains stable and easy to handle during the manufacturing process. Contact us for supply of 1,2-dihydro-2,2,4-trimethyl quinoline, polymer Request Quote
