Description

Zinc dibenzyldithiocarbamate (CAS 14726-36-4 ), commercially known as ZBEC, is a zinc dithiocarbamate accelerator used in rubber vulcanization. It drives efficient sulfur crosslinking at processing temperatures while offering low nitrosamine generation. This factor is increasingly driving purchasing decisions in rubber compounding. ZBEC is a primary or secondary accelerator in sulfur-cured rubber compounds, including natural rubber, SBR, and EPDM systems used in seals and gaskets. It is also widely utilized in automotive components. In latex applications, it supports room-temperature or low-temperature vulcanization where conventional thiuram accelerators raise regulatory concerns for manufacturers. Tire manufacturers and technical rubber goods producers use ZBEC in formulations requiring a cleaner toxicological profile without sacrificing cure rate. It is also used as a secondary accelerator alongside sulfenamides. This combination helps to boost crosslink density in mechanical rubber goods. Zinc dibenzyldithiocarbamate is supplied as a white to off-white powder. Technical and rubber-grade specifications are standard across the market. Purity levels are typically confirmed by active content assay and melting point. Pre-dispersed masterbatch forms are available from some suppliers to improve handling and dispersion in rubber mixing operations. Contact us for supply of Zinc dibenzyldithiocarbamate Request Quote
