Its ether-chain structure delivers plasticizing character directly into the polymer network during polymerization, eliminating the need for separate plasticizer addition in the formulation process. In UV-curable coatings and inks, DEGA functions as a reactive diluent that lowers viscosity for press or coating application while contributing to a softer, more flexible cured film. Packaging and label printing formulators use it to improve substrate adhesion and reduce cracking on flexible substrates. In radiation-curable adhesives and sealants, it extends the polymer backbone. This extension improves elongation and peel resistance in the final bond.
