Propoxylated glycerol triacrylate (CAS 52408-84-1 ), also marketed as Ebecryl 53, is a trifunctional acrylate monomer used as a reactive diluent and crosslinker in UV- and EB-curable systems. The propoxylation reduces skin sensitization potential compared to standard glycerol triacrylate, which influences formulator and procurement decisions in radiation-cure markets. In UV-curable coatings, it lowers viscosity while contributing to crosslink density, allowing formulators to reduce photoinitiator loading without sacrificing cure speed or hardness.
