Its low viscosity and broad solvency profile make it a preferred carrier in formulations requiring controlled evaporation and chemical compatibility. EMC is a primary electrolyte solvent in lithium-ion battery manufacturing. In this application, it is blended with other carbonates to optimize ionic conductivity and cycle performance.
