It functions primarily as a curing agent, cross-linker, and pH buffer in industrial formulations. In epoxy resin systems, TETA acts as a room-temperature hardener, enabling cross-linking in coatings, adhesives, and composite materials where controlled cure speed and mechanical strength are required. Textile and leather processors use it as a pH regulator and fixative in dyeing and finishing baths, improving dye uptake and process consistency.
