Description

Triallylamine (CAS 102-70-5 ), commonly abbreviated as TAA, is a trifunctional allylic amine used as a reactive monomer and cross-linking agent in polymer chemistry. Its three polymerizable double bonds allow it to form dense network structures during curing, making it a valued building block for specialty polymer synthesis. In rubber and tire manufacturing, TAA functions as a co-agent during peroxide curing, improving cross-link density and heat resistance in finished compounds. Polymer formulators incorporate it into acrylic and vinyl-based systems to produce tightly cross-linked networks with enhanced mechanical performance. It also serves as a monomer in the synthesis of ion-exchange resins and functional hydrogels, where controlled network architecture is critical to end-product performance. In specialty coatings and adhesives, TAA contributes to improved cohesive strength by participating directly in the polymer backbone during cure. Triallylamine is supplied as a clear to pale yellow liquid in standard packaging ranging from drums to ISO tank quantities for industrial use. Technical grade is the primary commercial form, with purity levels typically at 98% or higher for research and specialty polymer applications. Contact us for supply of Triallylamine Request Quote
