Polysiloxanes, di-Me (CAS 63148-62-9 ), commercially known as PDMS or Dimethicone, is a silicone polymer used across industries for foam control, lubrication, and surface modification. In food and pharmaceutical applications, it is also recognized as E900 . Procurement teams source it as a functional additive where controlled surface tension, slip, or defoaming performance is required. In personal care, PDMS is incorporated into hair conditioners, skin creams, and primers to deliver slip and a non-greasy skin feel without occlusive buildup.
