Description

Tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl)phosphate (CAS 13674-87-8 ), commercially known as TDCPP or Emulsion 212, is a chlorinated organophosphate flame retardant used across a broad range of industrial polymer systems. It functions simultaneously as a flame retardant and plasticizer, allowing formulators to achieve fire resistance without sacrificing flexibility or processability in the finished material. In flexible and rigid polyurethane foam production, TDCPP is incorporated to meet fire safety standards for furniture, insulation panels, and automotive seating applications. Electronics manufacturers apply it in encapsulants, coatings, and connector housings where UL flame ratings must be achieved within tight dimensional tolerances for safety. Textile and technical fabric producers use it as a back-coating additive to impart flame retardancy to upholstery, curtains, and various types of protective workwear. In aerospace and defense applications, it is specified for interior components and composite laminates where halogenated flame retardants remain approved under current material standards. TDCPP is supplied as a clear to pale yellow viscous liquid. It is available in technical grade, which is the standard commercial specification for industrial polymer and foam applications. Bulk supply is typically offered in drums and IBC containers, with concentration confirmed against established purity specifications to ensure consistent performance in manufacturing.
