Description
Toluene (CAS 108-88-3 ) is an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent used across coatings, adhesives, and chemical manufacturing to dissolve, dilute, and carry a broad range of resins, polymers, and active substances. It delivers fast, controlled evaporation rates that make it a preferred solvent where film formation and dry time are critical process variables. In coatings and industrial paints, it dissolves nitrocellulose, epoxy, and polyurethane resins. This enables smooth application and consistent film build. Adhesive and sealant manufacturers use it to formulate contact cements and pressure-sensitive systems for footwear, automotive interiors, and flexible packaging. In printing inks, it acts as the primary carrier solvent for gravure and flexographic formulations, controlling viscosity and ink transfer onto film substrates. The oil and gas sector uses it as a process solvent. It also serves as a reference compound in octane blending and fuel additive production. The product is supplied as a clear liquid in drums, IBCs, and bulk tanker quantities for industrial use. Standard commercial grades include technical grade and refined grades meeting ASTM specifications, with purity levels typically at 99.5% and above. Reagent and ACS grades are available for laboratory applications. Contact us for supply of Toluene Request Quote
