Description
Natural rubber (CAS 9006-04-6 ), also traded as para rubber and India-rubber, is a high-performance elastomer harvested from Hevea brasiliensis and processed into industrial polymer form. It delivers exceptional elasticity, tensile strength, and resilience that synthetic alternatives consistently struggle to match at equivalent cost. Procurement teams rely on it where mechanical performance is non-negotiable. In tire manufacturing, natural rubber is compounded into truck, aircraft, and off-road tire formulations where heat buildup resistance and load-bearing performance are critical for safety and durability. Automotive seals, bushings, and anti-vibration mounts use it to absorb mechanical shock across wide operating cycles. Aerospace applications include aircraft landing gear components and flexible ducting. Standard international grading follows ASTM D2227 and ISO 2000 specifications, with TSR 20 and TSR 10 being the most commonly traded industrial grades for large-scale manufacturing.
