It functions as a reactive intermediate and pH modifier across pharmaceutical synthesis, polymer processing, and food flavoring. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, it serves as a building block for active ingredients. It acts as a neutralizing agent during API synthesis. Polymer producers use it as a curing and cross-linking agent in resin systems, including flame-retardant formulations where nitrogen content contributes to char-forming mechanisms.
