Ethylamine hydrochloride
Description
Ethylamine hydrochloride (CAS 557-66-4 ), also known as ethylammonium chloride, is the stable salt form of ethylamine used as a reactive intermediate and functional additive across specialty chemical manufacturing. It provides a safer, easier-to-handle source of ethylamine functionality for synthesis, curing, and stabilization processes where the free base would be impractical for industrial applications. In coatings and adhesives, it acts as a curing and cross-linking agent, contributing to polymer network formation and improving film durability. Textile and leather processors use it as a preservation agent. It serves as a biocide agent, helping protect treated materials during processing and in finished goods. Plastics and polymer formulators incorporate it as a stabilizer to extend material service life. This chemical helps materials withstand thermal or oxidative stress. It also functions as a flame retardancy additive in polymer systems where nitrogen-based compounds are specified for halogen-free formulations. Ethylamine hydrochloride is supplied as a white crystalline powder or granular solid. Standard commercial grades include technical and high-purity specifications, with material typically assayed at 98% or higher. Packaging is available in multi-kilogram bags through to bulk quantities to suit both laboratory-scale and industrial procurement volumes. Our supply chain ensures consistent quality for all orders.
