Description
Irgacure 127 (CAS 474510-57-1 ), also known as Bis(4-(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropionyl)phenyl)methane, is a high-performance alpha-hydroxy ketone photoinitiator designed for UV-curable systems. It generates free radicals upon UV exposure, triggering rapid polymerization and crosslinking in formulated products. Its low volatility and high molecular weight make it a preferred choice for compliance. In UV-curable coatings for wood, plastic, and metal substrates, this photoinitiator delivers fast surface cure with minimal yellowing.
