Description

Decyldimethylamine oxide ( CAS 2605-79-0 ), also known as capric dimethyl amine oxide, is an amphoteric surfactant that shifts between cationic and nonionic behavior depending on pH. This dual character makes it effective across a broad range of formulated cleaning, foaming, and conditioning systems. In personal care, it boosts foam volume and stabilizes lather in shampoos. It is frequently used in body washes and facial cleansers while improving the feel of the rinse. Industrial and institutional cleaning formulations use it to enhance detergency and support emulsification. It helps break down oils and greases at lower active concentrations. Water treatment programs incorporate it for its dispersing action, helping to break down organic deposits and improve process efficiency. In textile and paper processing, it functions as a softening and conditioning aid. This contributes to surface modification during wet finishing stages and improves the final texture of the materials. Decyldimethylamine oxide is supplied as an aqueous solution, typically at 30% active content. Both standard industrial-grade and personal care-grade versions are available for various industrial needs. The latter meets the purity requirements expected for rinse-off and leave-on cosmetic applications. Drum and IBC packaging are the standard supply formats for commercial quantities and bulk logistics. Contact us for supply of Decyldimethylamine oxide Request Quote
