Hydrogenated coco-glycerides
Description
Hydrogenated coco-glycerides (CAS 91744-42-2 ), also referred to as coco glycerides, are a mixture of mono-, di-, and triglycerides derived from coconut oil through hydrogenation. This process converts the oil into a solid or semi-solid fat with a defined melting profile. The resulting material serves as a functional base for emulsification, texture modification, and moisture retention across multiple industries. In personal care, it functions as an emollient and emulsifier in creams, lotions, and lip balms. These glycerides contribute to skin feel and product structure simultaneously in solid cosmetic formats. Food manufacturers use them as structuring agents and emulsifiers in confectionery coatings and chocolate compounds. They are particularly useful in fat-based fillings where controlled melting behavior is critical for the final product. In adhesives and hot-melt formulations, they contribute rheological control and compatibility with wax-based systems. Their emulsifying capacity also supports the dispersibility of active ingredients in topical and nutritional delivery formats. The product is supplied as a white to off-white solid, typically in flake, pellet, or block form. Food-grade and cosmetic-grade specifications are standard, with material commonly meeting Ph. Eur. and FCC requirements depending on the intended application. Purity and glyceride ratios vary by grade. Specification sheets should be reviewed against formulation requirements to ensure the correct grade is selected. This ensures optimal performance in both industrial and consumer-facing chemical applications. Contact us for supply of Hydrogenated coco-glycerides Request Quote
