In pharmaceutical manufacturing, HPC is a standard binder. It is used in tablet wet granulation and as a film-coating polymer for immediate-release dosage forms. Personal care formulators incorporate it into gels, creams, and hair-fixative products to build viscosity and improve product spreadability.
