Troxerutin
Description
Troxerutin (CAS 7085-55-4 ), also marketed as Venoruton P4 and known in some markets as Vitamin P4, is a semi-synthetic flavonoid derivative of rutin used as an active pharmaceutical ingredient and cosmetic active. It functions primarily as an antioxidant and vascular-protective agent across pharmaceutical and personal care formulations. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, it is the active ingredient in oral and topical products. These products target chronic venous insufficiency, hemorrhoids, and capillary fragility, appearing in tablets, capsules, and gels. Topical gel and cream formulations leverage its antioxidant activity to reduce puffiness. It supports microcirculation in dermocosmetic products and is incorporated into eye contour creams and anti-fatigue serums. In these applications, reducing periorbital edema is a primary claim for the formulation. Its humectant behavior also supports moisture retention in leave-on skin formulations, improving texture alongside the active benefit. The material is supplied as a yellow to yellowish-brown crystalline powder. It is available in pharmaceutical-grade specifications, with purity typically ≥95% or ≥98% by HPLC, conforming to pharmacopoeial standards including those referenced in Chinese Pharmacopoeia and EP monographs. Cosmetic-grade supply is also available for personal care applications where full pharmaceutical specification is not required. This ensures versatility for manufacturers across different regulatory environments and product types. Contact us for supply of Troxerutin Request Quote
