It functions as a solvent, carrier, preservative, and processing aid across a broad range of regulated and industrial markets. In pharmaceuticals, ethanol dissolves active ingredients and excipients. It is used in oral liquids, tinctures, and topical formulations where controlled concentration and purity are critical to regulatory compliance. This ensures adherence to USP and BP standards.
