Description

Disperse Red 17 (CAS 3179-89-3 ), also known commercially as Amacel Red AB, is a synthetic azo disperse dye used to color hydrophobic fibers and substrates. It delivers consistent red shades across polyester, acetate, and nylon. This dye is suitable for both batch and continuous dyeing processes. In textile manufacturing, it is applied to polyester and acetate fabrics through high-temperature exhaust dyeing and thermosol processes. These methods produce bright red to deep scarlet shades with good wash fastness. Leather finishing operations use it to achieve uniform surface coloration on synthetic and blended leather goods. In paper dyeing, it is incorporated into pulp or applied as a surface treatment to produce colored specialty papers and packaging materials. This versatility makes it a staple in industrial coloring. Printing applications include its use in disperse ink formulations for transfer printing onto synthetic substrates. Disperse Red 17 is supplied as a fine powder or press cake for various industrial uses. Commercial offerings are typically standardized to defined dye content. Technical and textile-grade specifications are the most common market forms available for large-scale manufacturing and chemical processing. Buyers should confirm strength standardization and particle size distribution when evaluating suppliers. This ensures compatibility with specific dyeing equipment or unique process requirements in the production line. Contact us for supply of Disperse red 17 Request Quote
