Potassium adipate
Description
Potassium adipate (CAS 19147-16-1 ), also known as Dipotassium adipate and approved as E357 in the EU, is the dipotassium salt of adipic acid used as a buffering agent and acidulant. It regulates pH and contributes mild acidity in formulations where sodium-reduced or potassium-based alternatives to common acidulants are preferred for specific industrial and food applications. In food manufacturing, E357 functions as a pH buffer and flavoring acidulant in low-sodium product lines, including processed foods and beverages where potassium-based mineral salts are specified. Pharmaceutical formulators use it as a buffering excipient in oral preparations requiring controlled acidity and potassium content. It ensures stability and consistency in various medicinal formulations. In animal feed applications, it supports mineral supplementation and pH management in compound feed formulations. Agricultural uses include its incorporation into nutrient solutions and fertilizer blends. As a potassium source compatible with liquid formulation systems, it provides essential nutrients. Potassium adipate is supplied as a white crystalline powder or granules for easy handling. Food-grade material is available meeting E357 specifications under EU food additive regulations. Technical-grade material is also offered for non-food industrial applications and chemical processing. Bulk quantities are typically available in bags or fiber drums. Documentation supporting food and feed compliance is available on request to ensure full regulatory adherence for your supply chain. Contact us for supply of Potassium adipate Request Quote
