Description

Bisoctrizole (CAS 103597-45-1 ), commercially recognized as Tinosorb M and MBBT, is a broad-spectrum UV filter that absorbs and reflects both UVA and UVB radiation. It is used across personal care and industrial applications to protect formulations and substrates from photodegradation. In sunscreen and cosmetic formulations, MBBT functions as a high-performance hybrid UV filter. This chemical enables broad-spectrum SPF performance at relatively low use levels. Coating and polymer manufacturers incorporate it to prevent UV-induced yellowing, chalking, and mechanical degradation in materials. In adhesives, sealants, and elastomers, it extends service life by stabilizing the polymer matrix against prolonged UV exposure. Plastic compounders use it in films, sheets, and molded parts for resistance. Bisoctrizole is supplied primarily as a micronized aqueous dispersion, the standard form for cosmetic applications. Powder and suspension variants also exist for various industrial and manufacturing uses. It is available in cosmetic-grade specifications aligned with EU Cosmetics Regulation requirements. Technical grades are also produced specifically for polymer and coating applications to ensure stability. Packaging is typically offered in drums and IBCs, with concentration levels in dispersions commonly around 50%. This ensures ease of handling and integration into large-scale industrial production lines. Contact us for supply of Bisoctrizole Request Quote
